My Story

Caroline Schmitz Williams, a native of the Midwest, grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and St. Louis, Missouri, with a keen interest in the arts. Although she initially pursued Marketing at Miami University, she soon realized her need for a creative career and shifted her focus to photography. This change marked the beginning of an in-depth journey into the photographic world, encompassing education, internships, and various clubs. After graduating, Caroline embarked on her professional photography career in 1993, starting at Hermann Marketing’s in-house photo studio in St. Louis and gradually working her way up.

Her career took a significant turn in 1996 when Hermann Marketing was acquired by Corporate Express Promotional Marketing. This transition introduced her to digital photography, an area in which she received extensive training across the United States. For ten years, Caroline worked with numerous prestigious clients, including 3M, American Express, Apple, and IBM, while also developing her own business in fashion and advertising photography.

In 2003, a visit to South Florida led to a major life change. Caroline moved to the area, working as a staff photographer for Boca Raton Magazine and later pursuing a freelance career. She found a niche in high-end real estate photography, focusing on architecture and interiors. During this time, she settled into family life with her husband, Todd, and their two sons, Micah and Asher, enjoying church and community relationships.

However, Caroline’s life took an unexpected turn as she faced multiple health challenges, including battles with various cancers and Lyme disease. This experience propelled her on a personal healing journey, profoundly impacting her life perspective. While creativity continued to be a central part of her life, Caroline discovered a new calling in helping others heal. This led to the founding of The Happy Healing Store, where she dedicated herself to aiding others in their healing journeys, drawing from her own experiences and triumphs over adversity. Her story is a testament to resilience, transformation, and the power of healing, both creatively and holistically.
